These are the Spanish words I'm currently working on (out of a box of 1,000). You have to understand - I really suck sour lemons at foreign languages.
I AM GOING TO LEARN SPANISH
I've got a couple of books that I'm going to be using and the box of 1,000 flashcards. Next fall week I'm going to retake Spanish 1 (in preparation for Spanish 2), so I'm also including vocabulary from the textbook.
Each day I start out with 40 50 words (this is the way I do most of my classes with memory work). The new cards go in "backward" (Spanish side forward). I keep the cards and a small pencil with me and as I go through the words I put a tiny check on the ones I get right. When the Spanish side has three checks, they get put in back English side forward. The ones I get right go to the back of the deck and the ones I get wrong go 5 cards back. When a card has 3 checks on it, it gets taken out of the deck and replaced. I'm going to be switching out cards only before bedtime so I have the new "deck" in the morning. Daily I'll go through the "done" pile and any that I miss go back to the daily deck. The "really done" cards are divided into 7 stacks (one for each day of the week) and I go through a few of those cards each day. Every time a card has three checks in a row (I've gotten it right three times) it gets put into a stack that is gone through less often. All I can say is that it works for me. (Purple text are days that I've moved the entire day out of the original pile and strikethrough is for cards that I've moved out of the original file)
Learned Vocabulary - here is a (very long) page with all the words that I've "put back" in the big box.
Here are my "words for the day" in English(Spanish)(here are symbols to copy and paste - ó ¿ á é i ñ ú
Okay...I skipped many days...
I've taken some out, put some back in and added some new.
Here are my "in progress" words
